An ESPLOST is the option for a local school system to call a referendum approving a one percent sales tax for school construction/renovations/or retire bond debt. The penny sales tax spread the responsibility of educating our children to all citizens and visitors in the community. Click here for more information:

Read for the Record

On October 19, 2016, children in PreK and Kindergarten and adults will once again join forces for the world’s largest shared reading experience, known as Jumpstart’s Read for the Record.

This year’s campaign book, Quackers by Liz Wong, is a wonderful story that
follows a kitten who grows up believing he is a duck. This tale is about
understanding, acceptance, and learning it’s ok to be whoever you want to be.
